Moving Yet Again
So last year I jumped ship after IX Web Hosting was bought out by EIG, and the new owners decided to shut down IX and migrate everyone to Site5. I felt uncomfortable with this new hosting provider, and decided to find someone else. At the time. SiteGround seemed like an attractive option, and so I migrated my websites to their servers.
Well, it’s been nearly a year and the renewal fee for SiteGround is somewhat more expensive than I’m willing to pay. Keep in mind, I don’t make a dime off of any of my websites. They are just hobbies. For this reason, pricing is a seriously important factor to me.
And that brings us to DreamHost. They aren’t owned by EIG (yet) and they currently have a very reasonable sale price ($6/month) on their unlimited shared hosting plan. Though I’m not usually a gambling man, I paid for three years of service, and I suppose we’ll just have to see how this plays out.
Actually, I sort of already know how it’s going to play out. You see, I also have a third site that I use for posting recipes. I’ve already had a successful migration of that site, and now that I know a little more about what I’m doing, I’ll proceed with the migration of Flush Twice and mBlip in a few days.
Anyway, expect a service interruption this week for Flush Twice and mBlip.
Oh, and I’ll be able to put the “www” back in front of the web address again. It’s the little things…

Welcome back.
OBTW, you need to fix your https certificate. It’s apparently only valid for the www prefix.
