Excuses, Excuses.

Excuses, Excuses

Credit where it’s due, my Drill Sergeant used to say this to me during my AIT. My parents came to my graduation from AIT, and the Drill Sergeant met them. Afterwards I was at the airport waiting for my flight home. One of the other AIT students at the airport had the DS on the phone, and he shouted out, “Drill Sergeant said he was right! It is your parents’ fault!”

I actually liked my Drill Sergeant. He was an amazing soldier and quite a character to boot. Unfortunately my parents didn’t think much of him. In a way, I suppose that kind of proves his point.
